Microdermabrasion: A quick beauty review

//No7: Microdermabrasion exfoliator//

Good evening! I thought I would do a beauty post today as I've bought lots of winter essentials recently and I've picked out a good one to share with you.

I've been hearing about microdermabrasion a lot recently, it claims to resurface your skin using tiny crystals and a mechanical suction device to buff away dead skin cells which can be used to treat acne scars, sun damage, uneven skin tone, dry flakey skin, wrinkles and fine lines etc. Whilst I'd love to try it, I just can't justify spending that sort of money just before Christmas. So when I saw this in Boots for £10 (roughly) I thought I'd give it a go.

Although it says for younger looking skin I am using this to get a more even skin tone and to try and erase some small scars on my cheeks. The instructions say to add water to a clean face, dab on a small amount of the exfoliator, rub in a circular motion for 1 minute and repeat twice a week. After the first use my skin felt sooo soft and velvety, when I put moisturiser on afterwards it just got even better, it just melted on. After about 4 uses I stopped noticing the softness afterwards but in a good way because this meant my skin was generally softer, and I still feel like immediately after use my skin looks brighter and even-looking. I like to use it in the mornings as it's a great pre makeup step to create a smooth base before applying foundation.

As for erasing scars ill have to report back, I know these things take time and repeated use but overall I'm really happy with this product and I shall continue to use it if only for lovely soft skin :)
