Beauty Review: Glossier Generation G

//Lipstick: Glossier Generation G//

Hey! I thought it was about time I shared another beauty review with you... especially as I've done a small haul recently.

Firstly, a bit of background, I do not like to feel like I am wearing makeup (this is the reason I don't wear liquid foundation, can't stand the feel of it on my face) and I've recently been on the hunt for a lipstick that I can wear all day without it going sticky or dry or leaving that horrible patch in the middle. The best I have come across so far is Sephora own brand but we don't have Sephora in the UK so that's not ideal, and even this tends to be reserved for evenings only.

Glossier is a relatively new brand, founded in 2014 for that "no-makeup makeup" look. Recently, it's been ALL over my Instagram and it kept coming up when I was researching everyday lipsticks so I decided to give it a try.

The ONLY reason I am writing this post is to spread the good news and let everyone know that this is one of the best lipsticks I have ever worn!

Feel: This one is at the top because it's the thing that is most important to me when it cones to make up, I don't want to be able to feel like I'm wearing any - Glossier Generation G passes this test with flying colours, it's really moisturising and feels comfortable to wear all day long.

Colour: It's a sheer lipstick so you can apply one coat and have a subtle red or you can apply a few coats for a brighter, bolder red colour, I have it in "zip" and will be repurchasing in a few new colours to try, next one on my list is Leo.

Duration: It does need reapplying if you want to wear it all day long, but the good thing about this one is that it just fades gradually rather than going dry and patchy so you just end up with a slightly lighter colour after eating/drinking. I'm confident enough with this one to reapply without a mirror too!

Finish: Amazing! It's not shiny, which I hate but it's not super matte either. The description says "just blotted lipstick without the blot" and I think that's exactly what it looks like. It's kind of a half matte look without the cake-y-ness.

This one gets a strong 9/10 for an everyday lipstick!

And here is what it looks like on:
